Climate
The Netherlands Antilles enjoy a warm tropical climate all year long, with temperatures between 24 and 33 degrees Celsius. Humidity is higher during rainy season between August and November. The climate is generally drier and windier on the islands of Curacao and Bonaire than on the Leeward Islands.
Transport
Curacao and St. Maarten, and to a lesser extent Bonaire, have international airports offering several daily flights to the USA, Europe - especially to the Netherlands - South and Central America. They have excellent connections to the other Caribbean islands offered by local companies. All the islands of the Netherlands Antilles are inter-connected by air. Furthermore, they all offer port facilities, the largest ones being in Curacao and St. Maarten.
Currency
The official currency is the Netherlands Antillean Guilder, issued by a Central Bank. This currency is pegged to the US-dollar, and the official exchange rate is 1, 80 guilders per 1 US-dollar. Nevertheless, the dollar is accepted everywhere. In St. Maarten, you can also pay with euros as St. Martin, the other half of the island, belongs to France.
Telecommunications
Excellent. Everywhere, several companies offer mobile phone and internet connections.

Citizens from the European Union, US and Canada need to show a valid passport and a return/continuing ticket.
